Your right about saving money. It is going to be another 314 dollars every 6 months and that is without a car. Just wait until he gets a car, then the insurance will be even higher.
I sometimes do think it is a good thing if they wait just a little longer to get there license. I'm not saying until they are 23 like my son but maybe 18 or 19 when some of the school craziness has died down. (Usually in college they don't have a car the freshman year).
