Yeah!!

I am so excited my son passed his drivers license today.  I know many other families have kids that passed but this has been a journey :D   He first went for him permit when he was maybe 17 and I don't think he was really into it.  Then he tried taking the test 7 times finally passed for his permit.   Then he had his permit for a year and last year we re-newed it since he hadn't gone for his test.  With the 3 weeks remaining on his permit he finally went for his test.   YES he passed 1st try. I had to thank my one friend for all of the tips since her daughter just passed a few weeks ago.

Now we have to worry about insurance, and finding him a car.  (I told him he is going to need to ask for more hours at work).  As it is he is only working like one day a week.

I have been very behind on Live Journal about 10 days behind now.  Once I get caught up, I will doing another book posting.  (I am sure everyone is thrilled) Yeah right.  But I am going to try to shoot for at least once a month :)

Well that is all for now.  I let him have the honors of calling everyone, and since I am so excited I just had to update my journal!!

LOL! You and yes_rhade with sons with driver's licenses now...well, her's is a permit...if he passed yet. Tell him congrats!

Speaking of books, I just ordered more. I should do a posting of the last ones I read too but...I can't remember which ones they are! It's been that long! LOL!

LOL about not remembering the books. I keep logs and different logs because I am nuts. I keep a log of just what I read then the other log is the actual date. I should combine them and only keep one but the one log I clear out after I post them.

Yes it took my son awhile he is now 23 years old. Yep I am old and so are my kids. Now I just have to start working on my daughter who is 19 to get her permit :)

I will tell him congrats. He was so excited since it took him so long for the permit and he was a nervous wreck getting his license. He really thought he would fail the first time. Now he just has to save money for a car and then go and get a full time job.

WOW! I love that log system! I need to do that! Thanks for sharing that info! It would make it so much more easier!

I'm hearing more and more that kids are waiting longer to get their license. I had a "hardship" permit when I was 15 so I've been driving for a long time now.

Last year at Yaoicon, our roommate had friends who were attending for the 1st time, and one of them was 28 and he didn't have a license yet.

I remember being a nervous wreck when taking the test. I failed the driving part the 1st time but passed on the second try.
